I'm Back- it Was a Long Winter.

March 25, 2007 / by Bookworm

Hello Everyone!
I'm back after the long hard winter. I noticed my last post was end of December. I hate winter and I think I get S.A.D. Anyway it's good to see signs of spring and the robins are back and all the spring bulbs poking their way out of the ground. Spring is my favorite season. While I was gone I spent a lot of time on My Space.
My page is http://www.myspace.com/maxifran, if anyone is interested. I have it listed in my favorite links.
When I left here last December I was reading a book about the presidents, which turned out to be very interesting and I found that they were all good human beings and learned a lot of good things about all of them and though maybe at the time of their terms, I didn't like some of them I changed my mind after reading that book and as a person I now like them all. Everyone has their good qualities along with their bad ones. The book tells about what they all did after they served as president. This winter I read Jane Pert's books on The Montclair Brides series. I had read most of them before, but she had a couple new ones that I hadn't read, so read the first ones so I could refresh my memory of them. They were just as good the 2nd time as the first time.

Now I am reading the book INFIDEL by Ayaan Hirst Ali, a true story, which is about the author growing up as a Muslim. I'm learning a lot of about Islam and Muslim faith. It's very interesting!

Blogster and My Space are very different. I think you can get to know people better through Blogster and it's more personal. With My Space you can send picture comments back and forth, whereas with Blogster youi have to think and write little articles. I like them both. It depends on my mood and this winter I wasn't in a thinking mood. I think I tend to shut down in winter..

Thanks for the welcome back. Isn't winter just awful. I love the other 3 seasons, spring being my favorite when everything comes alive again. I just wish we could skip winter.

Yes, it was a long winter. I have been reading the latest in the "Ladies
Detective Agency" series, "Blue Shoes." I find these are comfortable characters to be with.

Have you read the Reluctant Fundamentalist, a good little book to read.
